Family Shabbat BBQ Dinner
The last family Shabbat BBQ dinner was such a success we decided to have another one…but with a twist. Do you know anyone that is not affiliated with a Temple or congregation? Have you talked to them about Shir Shalom in the past and they said something like: “wow, that place sounds really cool”? Even if they didn’t, and you know they should belong, invite them to this dinner. Dinner will be on us, and yours will be too!
Please join us on Friday, August 13 @ 5:30 pm.
We know that the majority of our new members come as friends of current members. No one can help sell Shir Shalom better than our members, so this is your chance to bring a new family to Temple. They can enjoy dinner with us and then join us for our Kabbalat Shabbat service beginning @ 6:30 pm.
For those families that bring preschool age children, our new preschool teachers will be on hand to meet and greet everyone. This will also be a great opportunity to welcome Donna Jeross and Norma Lesnick to our Temple family!
For those of you who just want to come and have some great BBQ dinner and then enjoy services, the cost is $10/adult, $5/child (5-12). Services are free.
Bring the family, a blanket and enjoy a bbq dinner and Shabbat services the Shir Shalom way.
RSVP to the Temple office @ (248) 737-8700 by Wednesday, August 11 @ 5:00 pm.
Save the Date!

Dear Religious School Parent(s):
I hope that you are having a wonderful start to your summer! As we move into July, preparations continue for another wonderful year at SHORESH.
Over the next few weeks, we will begin purchasing supplies, preparing materials and placing students in classes. In order to do this properly, we need your completed registration materials. If you have already returned them, thank you for sending them in!
Also, do you know someone who is not affiliated with another Temple who could benefit from a SHORESH education? Please let us know who they are so that we can contact them. As our way of saying thank you, for every newly registered student, we will have a prize for the first family to make the referral.
If you have any questions, or would like to refer a friend, please contact me or Ilene Stone via email or phone, (248) 406-4255.
