deals with long range financial planning and investments
Caring and Shiva Committee
provides members to lead Shiva services and helps families with special daily care needs
College Connection Committee
Keeps our young adults connected to the Temple and their Judaism
Family Programming Committee
provides a variety of family programs for our congregants
Fundraising Committee
raises money for the congregation on a yearly basis
Future Planning Committee
makes recommendations to the Board regarding long term policies of the Temple
Historical Committee
is responsible for maintaining Temple Shir Shalom's archives
House/Personnel Committee
keeps the Temple's building, grounds, and equipment in good order and establishes employee guidelines and procedures
Legal Committee
is a standing committee directed to render legal advice to the Board
Library Committee
is responsible for obtaining Judaic material for the library
Mailings Committee
is responsible for preparing full congregational mailings
Membership Committee
is responsible for contacting potential members, answering their questions, or referring them to appropriate committee members
Music Committee
provides a liaison between the Temple and the congregation regarding musical programming
Oneg/Catering Committee
is responsible for ordering food and supplies for oneg and kiddush events
Outreach Committee
welcomes and involves members who are interfaith couples, families and Jews by Choice.
Publications Committee
keeps congregants informed of up-coming events through the Scribe and the Shabbat cards
Publicity Committee
is responsible for providing all press materials for local communications
Pre-School Committee
is responsible for the pre-school program
Religious Committee
considers, reviews, and makes recommendations to the Temple Board concerning educational issues and Religious School programs.
Social Action Committee
assists in humanitarian endeavors of the Temple
Usher Corps
is responsible for distributing prayer books, seating members and maintaining decorum at services
Ways and Means Committee
is responsible for financial matters relating to the Temple and preparing the annual budget
