A WORD ABOUT OUR SERVICES
At Shir Shalom we take pride in our warmth and our sense of togetherness. If there is anything you need or something that you feel should be included to heighten your High Holy Day experience, please do not hesitate to call our rabbis, executive director or board members. Because of limited seating capacity, our services are geared for adults; please utilize our Family Services and child care facilities for your children under twelve.
So that every member of the temple can meet and greet each other, an oneg will be held after Rosh Hashanah Evening Service in our Wally Sampson Memorial Lobby.
Please do not run to your car after services. We believe that this particular time is one of the most important components of the High Holy Days. It is a time for all of us to come together and be part of our family.
If you expect out-of-town relatives or friends for the High Holy Days, we will try to accommodate them at our services. Because of limited space, please submit a guest ticket request to [email protected].
The Reform Jewish prayer book, Gates of Repentance, is used at our High Holy Day Services. Copies may be purchased in the temple office. Prayer Books will not be available for purchase at services.
SEAT SAVING POLICY
Seats in the Andrew Foltyn Social Hall may be saved until twenty minutes prior to services. However, seats located in the sanctuary and in the balcony cannot be saved or reserved except for one seat while the driver parks the vehicle.
WHAT’S LIFE WITHOUT A LITTLE FRESSING ON THE SIDE
You are invited to our Rosh Hashanah Evening Oneg, as well as our Children’s & Youth Kiddush along with your family and friends.
Experience Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services as a family! Our goal is to have families celebrate and share the holidays together. Join us for High Holy Day experiential services for first through sixth grade families.
CHILDREN’S PITZELEH SERVICES
From birth to kindergarten are the targeted ages for our Children’s Pitzeleh Services held in the Sanctuary on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur afternoons.
HEARING ENHANCED DEVICES
We offer enhanced hearing aid devices for the hearing impaired. There is no charge for the unit but it must be reserved in advance by calling the temple office; you will be required to leave a valid driver’s license as a deposit.
