Get Out The Vote-Shir Shalom Style

Friday, October 30, 2020 12 Cheshvan 5781

All Day for 5 Days

It's Michigan vs. Ohio. Temple vs. Temple. Rabbi vs Rabbi. Let's show how Shir Shalom Gets Out the Vote with a little friendly competition against our friends at Temple Beth Shalom in Columbus, OH! The Temple who has the highest percentage of members who confirm that they voted in Tuesday's election will win. What do we win? Rabbi Bar-Lev and Rabbi Herzog will sport a U of M or MSU jersey at the next game and post a picture of themselves on their Temple's Social Media accounts. And if we lose, which we won't, Rabbis Moskowitz and Schwartz will be wearing an OSU jersey (you don't want to see that, right?). So, how do you make sure we win? Help us win locally too! Let us know that you voted as we compete against other Michigan Congregations to have the highest percentage of membership voting. The Rabbis of the losing congregations will be sending a donation to Temple Shir Shalom (you like how confident we are?). The winning congregation will then be sending that donation to a non-partisan voting organization (let us know if you have any suggestions for when we win).
